From a young age, I used to walk through our bee pasture with my dad in the summer. I'd climb the trees among the bees and chickens and watch him tending the bees. Something must have made an impression on me, because I still spend my summers in that bee pasture :)

My enthusiasm for bees has grown steadily over the years. What started as a hobby has become my profession, and for that I am incredibly grateful. Specializing in queen rearing makes it particularly challenging and truly special. Each of our queens can become the origin of a new bee colony, which underscores my responsibility and the importance of my work. The queen bee is, after all, the leader and, together with her offspring, determines the characteristics of the colony.

I am happy and incredibly proud of how we as a family have developed in the field of queen rearing over the last few years, or even decades. And I would say that we as the koenigs-bienen team are something very special. Each of us is an expert in our own field, and we complement each other perfectly.
